HARRY WRIGHT OPEN SKEET SHOOT
JULY 11-13, 2008

The Loch Raven Skeet & Trap Center is proud to offer National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) sanctioned events.  The Harry Wright Open is our premier shoot being held this year over the 3-day weekend of July 11-13, 2008.   This is a  4-Gun Shoot for 12, 20 and 28 Gauge and .410 Caliber as well as Doubles on Friday afternoon.

This annual event is the premier shoot of our competition schedule. As many of you know, the shoot is named for Harry W. Wright, who was the founder of LRSTC over 50 years ago.  Look for his name on the plaque over the fireplace in the clubhouse.

Harry was not only our founder, but he was a force in the world of competitive Skeet Shooting as well.  His involvement in Skeet Shooting at LRSTC led to Harry's induction into the National Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame in 1976.

Harry Wright is joined in the National Skeet Shooting Hall of fame by several other past and present members of the Center. who have been similarly honored.  The names of LRSTC Hall of Famers are: Harry Wright, Ed Calhoun,  Kate Dinning Brooks, Charles Boardman, John Dinning and Kathleen "Kate" Dinning.

The Harry Wright Open on July 11-13, 2008 has an entree fee of $42.00 per gun with $7 returned to the class.  There will be added money to winners and runner-ups for each event.  Shoot any or all gauges.  The Doubles event will start at 1pm on Friday afternoon, 7/6.  The first rotation on Saturday and Sunday starts at 9:30 AM.

The Center is now taking reservations for all our 2008 registered Skeet Shoots.  To register, contact our Skeet Chair, Paul D'Amato by phone at (410)666-7758 or email Paul_Damato@verizon.net.
